Explore Monet’s use of loose brushstrokes and vibrant colors in The Artist’s Garden at Vétheuil. Then, working from a photograph of nature or a natural object (a flower, houseplant, etc.), create an Impressionistic artwork using oil pastels.

Materials: Materials will be provided and shipped to participants who register at least two weeks in advance of the workshop.
Those who register late will need to gather the following materials for class:

• Photograph/image of nature or a natural object (flowers, houseplant, etc.)
• Half sheet of letter size white paper (5 1/2 x 8 1/2”)
• Pencil
• Oil pastels (or colored pencils, markers)
