Klee had a great fondness for cats. He had many cats for pets, and made them subjects in his pictures. This quirky homage to household cats, made by Klee in 1924, features a collage of watercolor, oil transfer drawing and lace collage on chalk-primed muslin. The image is reproduced using archival inks on 100% cotton rag paper and measures approximately 10-1/2 x 14 inches matted with a 16 x 20 inch board.
