One of the most talented pupils of Chardin, Thomas-Germain-Joseph Duvivier (French, 1735-1814) began to exhibit still lifes at the Salon in 1761. In this painting we see the tools of an architect who loved Greek architecture. The image is reproduced using archival inks on 100% cotton rag paper and measures approximately 10-1/2 x 14 inches matted with a 16 x 20 inch board.
