$0.00
Product Description
Saturday, March 21
1:00–3:00 p.m.
Join teaching artist and Museum educator Lizzie Sampson for a plein air painting workshop in the Sculpture Garden, inspired by the luminous landscapes of Claude Monet and the expressive brushwork of Vincent van Gogh. Surrounded by sunlight, flowers and shifting shadows, participants explore how these iconic artists captured the fleeting beauty of nature. After a brief discussion and close looking at examples of Impressionist and Post-Impressionist artists, head outdoors to experiment with color, light and movement in your own open-air painting.
This class is designed for children ages 9–13.
This program is free with Museum admission (admission is free for children 18 and younger; adults will pay admission at check-in). Advance registration is required.
