Product Description

American curator Seth Siegelaub was one of the first to begin organizing exhibitions of Conceptual art. In 1968, he began exploring the relationship between exhibition and catalogue in an attempt to circumvent the gallery space and question its established frameworks. He published a “group show” in the form of a bound volume of photocopied and offset-printed works by seven artists: Carl Andre, Robert Barry, Douglas Huebler, Joseph Kosuth, Sol LeWitt, Robert Morris, and Lawrence Weiner. Originally printed in 1968, this catalogue, better known as the Xerox Book, was republished in 2015 on the occasion of the exhibition, Seth Siegelaub: Beyond Conceptual Art at the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam.

This is a clean copy from a print edition of 1600. The catalogue is housed in its original acetate dust jacket cover.
