The Adventures of Prince Achmed: A Film by Lotte Reininger
“Prince Achmed”, based on folktales from “The Arabian Nights” was made by the German filmmaker Lotte Reiniger. This enchanting film premiered in 1926 and is celebrated as the first full-length animated feature. “Prince Achmed” was screened in the U.S. in 1931 by “The Societe Anonyme”, founded by Marcel Duchamp and Katherine S. Drier.
