Teen Arts: Weaving Your Own Tale: Loom Tapestry Workshop (Sat, Apr 29)
Saturday, April 29
Join artist Kaari Meng for a workshop in which students use sumptuous yarn and metallic threads to create small-scale woven loom tapestries. Explore the Museum’s 16th-century tapestry Justice of the Emperor Trajan, which illustrates a legendary episode from the life of the Roman emperor, and be inspired to use woven materials to tell a story of your own.
This class is designed for high school students.
This program is free with Museum admission (admission is free for children 18 and younger; adults will pay admission at check-in).
Advance registration is required.
