Courbet “Marine” 16 x 20 inch Matted Digital Print
Committed to painting only what he could see, Gustave Courbet (French, 1819-1877), was a French painter who led the Realism movement in 19th century French painting. Courbet traveled to Trouville, on the Normandy coast, in the fall of 1865. There he painted twenty-five pictures of the autumn sea and sky. Marine is reproduced using archival inks on 100% cotton rag paper and measures approximately 10-1/2 x 14 inches matted with a 16 x 20 inch board.
