This book is a reissue of the 2002 catalogue for the exhibition of the same name at Gagosian’s Chelsea gallery (this highly-prized book had long been out of print). The fully illustrated catalogue opens with a timeline documenting the history of the Ferus Gallery. Also included are an interview with former Ferus director Irving Blum by art historian Roberta Bernstein and a critical discussion of Warhol’s Campbell’s soup can paintings by the late MOMA curator Kirk Varnedoe.
